  • Hello everyone - Parking ticket novice here!

Hi everyone! My silly newly qualified nurse daughter got two parking tickets for parking on some private ground near the hospital where she works. The area is operated by Elite Management and she took the typical teenage attitude, stuck her head in the sand and didn't do anything about them. She is now panicking as she has had two letters, one a "Formal Letter of Claim" and one in respect of a later incident which appears to be the same but just earlier in the process.

I have started to read the miles and miles of advice on private parking charges, and will get my head round it eventually! The Formal Letter of Claim (is this the same as the LBCCJ?) is now asking for £202 and the other one somewhat strangely £208. Her attitude now is to pay and get them off her back, but I'm inclined to sit tight.

    Wish me luck!

Have you (your daughter) got any of the paperwork? Was this a ticket on the car then a Notice to Keeper ? Delivery time after the event of the Notice to Keeper is important. The Wording on the Notice to keeper is important.

I sympathise with you. My daughter also has this predilection to wait till the last possible moment to ask for help.

It was both times a ticket on the windscreen and the actual events happened in October last year. She has (apparently) been receiving a steady flow of letters and we are now on the infamous "Wright Hassall" letters. She has given me a couple of the original letters.

        1. Is she the registered keeper ?

        2. Can you scan any paperwork and post it up, deleting names addresses, reference numbers and barcodes.
