  • 2013 Parking issue raises its ugly head

    Hi
I hope Ive done the correct thing by posting a new thread? Couldnt find another thread that addressed my issue.
I have just received a letter from DRP on behalf of Smart Parking demanding payment of £110 for an unpaid parking charge while parked at Sainsburys in JULY 2013. I no longer own the car in question, although I did at the time, obviously. There is no photographic evidence.
Do you think they are reissuing this in light of the landmark ruling of the Supreme Court in November 2015? What should I do with this notice? I would be grateful for any advice you can give me.

Absolutely. All manner of scum are starting to resurface. They still need to know who was driving and/or have complied with the protection of freedoms act 2012 schedule 4 to have a chance of success (other than people giving in to the pressure and paying).

Smart are not, as yet, very litigious and i'd file and ignore unless a proper letter before action or court papers arrive. http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/Smart_Parking.html
