I received a Parking Charge Notice on 30th December after parking at Ikea Nottingham. The car park was VERY busy, after driving round for a while we parked at the end of the bay, up against the kerb, this wasn't a designated parking bay.
We arrived back at our car with a ticket on the window. To be honest we didn't notice any signs saying we couldn't park there until we got back to the car and looked.
However the ticket had a letter wrong on the car registration, on the way home we Googled it and read that as it was wrong they couldn't do anything about it, so we've ignored it. Today we recieved a letter with photographs of our car on and obviously the correct registration is now on the fine.
Can somebody please give some advice? The original fine had the wrong the registration but if they have photographic evidence do we now have to pay?
I still have the original parking notice as proof that they got it wrong.
Thanks in advance
Nathan
