    DR+

    Good evening all, I know this has been asked a million times over but my wife is freaking out over DR+ letters and I want to put her mind at rest!

    On the 24th of December 2015 I received a letter from DR+ stating I owe the sum of £149 for a parking offence at the London o2 from the 4th of December 2014 this is the 1st letter I have ever received on the matter and was not even aware of an offence committed!

    I have ignored that but have since received a letter on the 6th of January 2016 stated intended court action and the dept has to be payed by 18th of January 2016!

    I have also ignored that letter! Can someone please tell my wife there is nothing to worry about and I'm not going to be locked up for life due to the supposed crime as she doesn't appreciate my jokes on coming to visit me behind bars.

    You should take the matter seriously in all honesty and not ignore the letters as court action is a very likely in these cases if you don't pay or don't dispute the parking offence. So were you at O2 Arena on the day they allege, and what evidence (usually cctv images of entyer and leaving with date and time) did they include with the letter?

      Thanks for the reply, i have received no letters until over a year after the offence, nor a break down of costs to justify the £149 charge, as I have also not received any photos or proof of me being at the venue, I have been following the advise from a friend of mine and also the Internet in terms of ignoring the letters from DR+ .

        I'd be inclined to write to them requesting proof of such alleged offense. If they can not provide it then you can ignore them! As for £149 well depends on what the original fine or charge was and weather it doubled/increased if you didn't pay after first 14 days etc. They can still take you court at anytime!

          Are you saying that you received no pcn at the time? No options to pay or appeal? Nothing until this letter from DR+ ??
          Debt is like any other trap, easy enough to get into, but hard enough to get out of.

            Hi, I have received nothing, apart from the two letters from DR+, no letters from the car park owners or any other company, no photos of my car at the venu, that coupled with over a year from me hearing anything from DR+ and looking online I thought I could ignore them. If someone could point me in the direction on what action to take (if any?) It would be very appreciated.

                  DRP cannot take you to court. Only the actual parking company can.

                  I would write to them, preferably via email.

                  Dear Sirs,

                  I am somewhat shocked to have received letters from yourselves as registered keeper of vehicle xxxxxx. As no notice to keeper has ever been received from the parking company. Should you wish to pursue the matter please contact the driver.
