Smart Parking PCN - Matalan Cheltenham

Hello,

Hoping someone can help, as previous posts have done!
I parked last week in Matalan Cheltenham for 40 minutes. I don't think I even got out the car, I just needed somewhere to wait for a friend! But can't be sure on this as I'm in and out of there alot.. I received a PCN today for 50GBP which seems excessive!

I would say appeal and then when rejected go to popla based on the fact i believe the notice to keeper doesn't comply with PoFA 2012 schedule 4 para 9. This does risk the charge being £70 ? rather than £50 but also potentially zero.

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals process. The driver did not see any signs and was a genuine customer. I note your notice to keeper is fundamentally flawed when compared to PoFA 2012 schedule 4 para 9 in several aspects .




Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

I've just received one of these from matalan. [MENTION=75779]rebeccawallen[/MENTION] What was the outcome of your appeal? I parked in the car park when the shop was closed, have done for years. I parked in there out of hours twice in 2 weeks so I'm expecting another ticket soon

I appealed and they overturned it! Definitely worth a go

No I haven't [MENTION=5354]mystery1[/MENTION]. I'm not sure what I should say as I didn't look at signs, the shop was closed. But I've always parked in there out of hours and never got a ticket. I feel like it's my own fault but at the same time £50 x2 fines at this time of year is crippling!
