MET parking services unfair parking notice

Hi guys,

I recently got given a parking notice for overstaying the maximum free parking time at a car park in virgin active. Although parking is unlimited and free for members (which I am), I didn't realise that I needed to type in my registration number inside the gym until around a week ago - but I've been parking there since the beginning of January!

I'm currently a student and can't afford to get multiple £100 fines! Is there anything I can do?

Can you scan the notice, blanking out your name, address and reg number ?

I wouldn't worry too much as i expect any tickets can be challenge with a great degree of success.
