  • 170 pound parking fine received but no original letters received please help

Hi all thank you for taking the time out of ur day to read this.

This morning I have received a letter from a company called ‘Debt recovery plus’ regarding a parking ticket that I have got on the car 02/01/24 with Car park management ltd.

This is the first letter that I have ever received regarding this issue and I have no idea what I can do or were I stand with it as I’ve never had an issue like this before. I received this ticket after working as a contractor site where it was issued.

i if I didn’t ever receive the original letter within 14 days and it’s then subsequently been sent to a debt recovery service Is it worthwhile appealing it. I’ve read a few different forums on this website regarding appealing it but I’ve never had to deal with anything like this before and I feel quite stressed about it.

any help about this would be amazing.

    many thanks
    Harvey

If you know the number of the Parking Charge Notice (PCN), first port of call is the people you were working for, and ask them to have it cancelled. I assume they are the company that appointed CPM.
That may or may not work!

Also write to (i) the Debt Collectors telling them the charge is being disputed and they should cease attempts at collection
(ii)CPM sending a Subject Access Request, asking in particular for a copy of the PCN

It is important not to identify the driver when communicating with them, nor on this site.
There is a template SAR in the SHORTCUTS panel on the right.
You will need to adapt it for your situation

Post back here when you receive a response.
In the meantime photos of the signs at the car park might prove useful eventually if you can get them
