  • Paid for days parking but got fined, Ringo or Milton Keynes Council or both at fault

Hi I paid for a days parking for my Employee permit in Milton Keynes a day in advance via Ring, i.e. I paid on Sunday to park my car all day in Milton Keynes on a Monday. The Ringo app said. Duration 1 Day. the start time and end time were obscured by Session time adjusted window which said your parking session will end at 17:59. I then proceeded to pay and received a text saying session is set up. I went to work on Monday and parked my car. At 7:33 AM I received a parking ticket. I checked to see if there was a mistake but it said the session was live. However it was then I noticed that for osme reason, the session had a start time of 11:15 for Monday even though I had paid in advance for a whole day and the app said whole day. Even if I had noticed the issue with the time there was nothing I could do as the operational hours for Ringo would not start until 8am on Monday. Milton Keynes rejected the appeal. It has caused serious issues for me at work. I paid for a full day in advance they took the money and now want to take my money by fining me. Can someone advise

Rejected appeals have the right to appeal further, and if you are still not satisfied with the outcome, you can take the case to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal.

Whether or not it is better to pursue the matter, or pay the discounted charge and avoid the hassle of appealig, you must decide.
