Hello! I have recently received a PCN issued by Smart Parking, they have issued the ticket within 13 days of the incident but I received it in 18... Do I have a claim?
Currently I have drafted this appeal:
Legislation regarding PCNs requires that said parking ticket must be received within 14 days of the infraction, as being said to continue on civil reasoning, I do not believe 24 minutes is a viable overdue amount of time to be considered for a £60 fine. It has been 18 days since said infraction which is when it was brought to my notice. To further contribute to my opinion on the idea of such a fine for such small-time overdue, the car was captured entering the car park and not when the ticket was registered which seems to have not been taken into account, if this was implemented into the PCN, it would have been an overdue time for approximately 8-10 minutes which said is not enough time to be legally charged,
Thanks.
