PCN query double yellow lines

Hi, I’m just wondering if I have any way out of this. Was fined due to parking on double yellow lines however there is a gap about 2 and half car lengths with no signs and the gap has been there for as long as I can remember (Atleast a few months) with no attempt to repair. https://imgur.com/a/r6qzfEi
