Hello everyone, my first post here. I own a property that I rent that unfortunatly has pcm parking permit system... as I'm currently renovating the flat I asked pcm for a permit for my van. I was issued a permit number and told to display on vehicle in windscreen , I was not posted a normal type display permit only details by email. Of course one day I forgot to put my handwritten permit in the windscreen clearly ( unfortunatly I had taken piece of paper from windscreen day before and left it on dashboard but had obscured it with a shopping bag accidently..) I only had the rear wheels on the land that is considered part of their jurisdiction. I argued that I have a valid permit to the registration of my vehicle, it was just not displayed and that they have my contact details including mobile phone number etc but basically have been told I need to pay £60. Do I have a leg to stand on? Can I just ignore it? Is there any defence for me. Thx all
