  • Uk parking control ltd parking charge

Hi all, need some help with this one.

I have received a £60 fine from UK Parking Control LTD because I was 'Not parked correctly within the markings of the bay or space'. I contested this because although I hadn't parked in a bay (because there was no spaces), I had been let through the barrier, paid for a ticket (of which I have evidence) and I had parked perfectly well next to a row of parked cars not blocking anyone.

I contested this but have received no acknowledgement of my appeal. Instead I have had a letter from Debt Recovery Plus LTD saying I now owe £120!!

They then ramble on about a supreme court case in 2015 meaning I'm liable to pay this fine or I'll be taken to court.

PLEASE can someone advise on what I can do in this situation.

    Thanks in advance! JT

As it's DRP then you can ignore them as they are only debt collectors and have no power.

The case was a specific parking case and only applies in specific circumstances. If this was a paid for park then it certainly doesn't apply.

So pictures of the signs and the initial Notice to Keeper would be nicve, with identifying details removed. Date of parking and date NTK received would be useful.
