Fistral Beach Car Park - Newquay

Hi,

On Monday 10th October I parked at Tower Road car park Newquay and brought a ticket for 3 hours. As soon as I brought the ticket, I realised I had parked at the wrong car park and drove to Fistral Beach car park. I left the ticket in my car thinking it was the same parking company? I left shortly after.

I have received a £100 parking fine for Fistral Beach, they clocked me @ 17:57 and leaving at 18:10. I have since found out Tower Road car park is managed by 'Parking Eye' and Fistral is managed by 'Smart Parking'.

Is it worth challenging this fine?

So that's 13 minutes in the car park? Not all of that time was parking. You are supposed to get time at the start to find a space, read the conditions and pay. If you do not agree to the conditions then you should be given a grace period to leave. Your actual parking time is probably no more than 5 minutes.

It is worth appealing this charge. It is not a fine, it is an invoice.
