MET - PCN

Hello, hopefully someone can help here please. A PCN was issued from MET Parking Services. The driver was late and didn't see the sign saying they needed a ticket. The guy in the office didn't mention they needed a ticket either. The PCN says they must pay £100 or £60 if paid within 14 days. Anything they can do here?

Why didn't the driver see the sign (not a stupid question) ? Was this a ticket on the car or through the post ?

Modify your post so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred

@ostell - The driver was late so just parked up and ran to the clubhouse. Never been to the place before and given it was a golf car park they just assumed it was for users of the course. The ticket was on the windscreen.
@mystery1 - Thanks for the link. I will wait for the notice to keeper letter as advised.
