Hi there I am new to this but need advice, on the 27.04.2016 the driver visited the parking and was just going to be a short while so didn't pay for a parking ticket at the local Whitton Iceland and when they got back to the car there was a large white van and a gentleman standing next to my car with a folded piece of paper in his hand, as the driver went to get in the car he asked if they had a parking receipt and they said no, he then held out the piece of paper to them and asked if they wanted it and they said no and drove away. Now this week I have received a Demand for payment from DRP (Debt Recover Plus LTD) for an unpaid parking charge of £160.00 saying that their client has written too me (I did not receive a letter from them) about the unpaid parking charge. Am I going to have to pay this as I really do think this is absolutely ridiculous?

    Thanks

DRP as debt collectors should normally be ignored.

As post has gone missing (or not even been sent) i'd email excel and DRP and tell them a notice to keeper has not arrived and that i they want to contact the driver (whom they do not know). Otherwise the requirements to hold the keeper liable have not been met and you have nothing further to add.
