  • Excel Parking/DW Legal

    Hi everyone,

I received a few PCN notices from Excel Parking in January for parking I hadn't (apparently) paid for in December 2015, whilst I parked in Stirling. They even sent one for a day where my car wasn't even parked there!.

I wrote appeal letters stating they were incorrect that I hadn't paid however, I did offer a small compensation & enclosed a cheque for the dates they stated. My letters were unsuccessful & I appealed again but never received any word.

I then received (in the same envelope) on 23/7/16 a letter from Excel Parking saying they have now passed to their Legal Team (DW Legal) & also enclosed in that same envelope was a letter from DW Legal (both letters were dated 19/7/16) saying if I don't pay within 16 days of the date of their letter or provide reasons for non payment they will seek their client's instruction to commence legal proceedings.

What should I do please as I definately paid? I have looked at the pictures again that were taken by the camera in the parking on these dates but all of them just show my number plate, apart from one which shows a little bit of my windscreen, but not all of it.

    Thanks for your help

In Scotland, you should've said nothing as they would be stuck without the drivers identity.

I'd still ignore and see if they lodge court papers before taking any action in Scotland.

Thanks M1. Really appreciated. Is there anyone that you know of that could help fight my case if it comes to it?

Not sure really. See what happens if they do.

Do you still have the parking ticket? A proof that you paid should be enough.
I had a similar problem but unfortunately had to pay... I just didn't have enough energy to fight with them.

          Good luck!

Hi everyone, apologies for not replying sooner as I just found my email notifications in my junk box.

Thanks for your messages. I never kept receipts but I'll keep you all posted on the progress.
