I have received a parking charge notice from parking collection services telling me that i must pay £120 within 28 days, this has just come through the door today and the issue date of the fine was during a day i had in college.
i was called in during my holiday and was told i wouldn't be too long. As i was just visiting i parked in the visitors bay. the visitors bays has small posts which can be reserved for teachers and other people however the spot i had chosen had no sign i parked properly and was not aware of any enforcement.
i have went back to college to confront them about the letter to which they have pointed out the sign is at the entrance of the car park facing in wards and the main entrance of the college is in the opposite direction of the face of the sign. i had read the sign and it states that teachers and visitors are permitted to park but does not specifically say anything about students.
this situation has left me in a tight bind i would love any advice at this point. i can provide further information.
