I don't think you're grasping the point of the Court of Appeal's citing the facts: around 20 sign at the retail's car park entrance. All the terms and conditions ie penalties for parking beyond the 2/ 3 hour grace period at the entrance of the car park, are sufficient for a contract. Inside the car park is too late there, where any signs may reinforce the pre entering car park stage.
