I received a PCN November 2015. I have been ignoring the letters. I recently received a threatening letter stating if I did not pay £200 pounds they would take legal action and refer to debt collectors. I was using the carpark on Soho Road Birmingham which is a pay by phone carpark. I have some photos that the signs were not clear and hidden by trees. It appears on this new letter the company has changed, and the signs have also changed. What do I do please?

Is it a proper letter before action or a threatogram ?

The usual give aways are "we may" or "we will" or whether the people making the threat are the owners of the"debt" or their lawyers. Debt collectors issue threatograms and can be filed and ignored.

Reading the letter it is a threat. It states not to ignore the letter and to get in touch with them. The payment has increased from £100 to £200. Thanks

I noticed on the forum others have written to the company. Is it worth writing to them. I'm worried they will take me to court. Another lady on forum had parking ticket from same carpark and hers was cancelled. So not sure what to do?

The parking company or the people who shop/hotel/gym ?

Is it worth writing to the parking company and appealing?. I will send copy of letter and photos of the parking signs used in the carpark tomorrow.

The parking company will not help in any way once the time to appeal is gone.

If it was, for example, a retail park then retailers or the landowner might have helped.

I have a PCN from pay by phone car park soho road.
can someone send me their images of the signs they have from last year as they have recently changed the signs and my PCNs are from last year. they have submiitted county court proceedings. For a £1 car park charge they want over £300. there were no clear signs at the time and the car park was in poor condition. its now been changed significantly. As i noticed a lot of you have images from last year would be great if u could email them.Also they dont put any penalty notice on your vehicle so you have no idea until the letter comes. and the letter they sent had over a £100 charge which is disproportionate
