I have received an email form my place of work notifying me of a final reminder for a parking charge for £100 for an overstay of 12 mins in the macdonalds at gatwick ring road. My car is a leased. The original charge was sent to the lease company who returned it for transfer of liability. Today is the first l knew about the charge. At the time l did not see any signs regarding the maximum stay for the restaurant. It was very busy and we had to wait for our food to be brought to our table. we were however, so impressed with a particular member of staff we filled in an online customer feedback which is the reason for the overstay!! I have today contacted the customer services dept at macdonalds and they will ring me in the next couple of days. In the meantime they have told me to appeal however, the letter states that the POPLA is no longer available. Any advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated as l simply can't afford to pay £100 but as this is a lease car l am under pressure to do so

Re: MET parking charge
the notice was issued on the 9/10/15
under the parking charge amount it says payment to be made within 28 days of date issued 6/11/15
this parking charge is discounted to £50 if paid within 14 days of the date issued 23/10/15
after this date the full parking charge amount will be owed
which date do l use for the appeal

Re: MET parking charge
Fair enough, i guess they didn't send a copy of the back which is where appeal info is contained.
Dear Sirs,
I, as keeper, wish to invoke your appeals process. The driver did not see any signs and was a genuine customer. I note your notice to keeper is fundamentally flawed when compared to PoFA 2012 schedule 4 para 9 in several aspects .
Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.
