I have recently received a PCN from a car park next to my daughter's school which I use frequently. On the day in question I actually purchased a ticket. I have no proof of this however so it is essentially my word against theirs. I have never not purchased a ticket in this car park although as I was in a rush on the day in question I may have entered the reg no into the machine for my car rather than my wife's that I was driving on the day (only possibility I can think of). I can't see these mitigating circumstances swaying Excel's appeals proceedure in my favour.
The one thing I do have on my side is that the PCN was issued 16 days after the event. Am I right in thinking they have to send it within 14?
Considering they are saying I parked there without paying I'm worried I don't have a leg to stand on. Any advice?
