Re: What to do about a CCJ?

Need further advice please.

Having heard nothing with regards to the case from Liverpool County Court, today I phoned them to find out the details of the case.
I was told that the case had been quashed on the 30th December as there was no case to answer.
This was around the same time that I received a letter from United Utilities stating that they would not object to my application and they would not be appearing at the hearing.

However, upon checking my credit file, the CCJ still appears.
How do I remove it?
@Kati @Amethyst nemisis45

Thanks.

Thanks.
Case was quashed meaning the judgement was set aside?

That I am not 100% certain of.
I assume so but have nothing to confirm this.

I have asked the credit reference agency to amend my file.
The tell me that they cannot do this without the approval of 'the registry trust' and have written to ask for approval.

I will need to see what happens with that.
I would have at least have expected a letter from the court telling me officially what the result was.
After all, the charge a hefty fee for the N244.

You can check the Registry Trust your self (trust online) there's a small charge for each address checked.

Thanks nem, I will do that in a couple of days if I don't hear anything from the credit reference agency that I currently subscribe to.

I wasn't aware you could do that but I still need to know how to remove the ccj.

I have had a response from the credit reference agency.
They tell me 'Registry Trust Ltd. has replied to us and toldus that the details we currently hold are correct.'

This obviously means that the CCJ still stands. How do I clear it.
Isn't this why I paid the fee for the N244?

Please advise further on how to clear up this mess.

Thank you.

I will do that without delay.

Would this be the original court in Northampton or the court it was refered to? (Liverpool)

Thanks.

Sorry nem, I don't really know what you mean by the court that handed down the judgement.

I applied for the N244 at the County Court in Northampton. They then passed it on to the County Court in Liverpool which is near where I live.
The Liverpool court should have dealt with it so is that who I write to?

Thanks.

Finally had my new hearing come through.

I was in the court room less than 5 minutes and the judgment was set aside.
Thanks for everyone's assistance.
