ten min grace period

I was recently issued a parking charge notice on and pay and display car park, the ticket was introduced 6 mins after ticket ran out I appealed to operator, refused appeal. I am on dodgy ground stating that the 10 min grace period was not observed. are these companies not bound by this rule.

I thought the 10 minute grace period only applied to council owned/run car parks and 'on the street' parking?

Can you post up the PCN suitably sanitised ?

There are supposed to be grace periods in PPC land too but it's arbitrary unlike council.
