I have just received today a letter from DRP regarding an unpaid parking charge for overstaying t ime at asda swanley. I disposed of the vehicle last year which was registered to my old address. The parking charge notice was apparently for 23august 2014 but this is the first I have heard of it. No ticket on the car and no idea how long after I am supposed to have stayed. They are asking for £120 within 14 days which I do not have. I have emailed them. Should I also contact smart parking? Your help would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Parking ticket help please
And did you move before or after the event and change the registration documents (either moved or vehicle destroyed.)
Since they have found you then you could tell them to go away as they have failed to comply with the requirements of POFA in not providing a Notice to Keeper within 14 days of the event.

Re: Parking ticket help please
I hadn't changed the address on the vehicle docs which was error on my partl but was unaware I had incurred a ticket. £120 seems a lot of money for a free car park? Adds is a large supermarket with coffee shop, easy to go over time limit but fine seems excessive.

Re: Parking ticket help please
You've done nothing wrong. We're just trying to gather information to give a better reply.
If the registered keeper and driver are the same person it's probably not worth doing anything other than ignore all but a letter before claim or an actual claim. File all others in a drawer and continue with life.
All appeals options are gone (unless the driver wasn't the registered keeper)
