  • Met Parking Virgin active

    Hi all,

i am a member of virgin active gym. They always have parking issues. There's 2 car parks dedicated to gym members. One car park you have to display your pass but there is a clear sign clearly marked that it is also for virgin gym users. (Signage by the gym) On this occasion I did forget to display my badge looking for a parking spot was a mission, but I went to the gym and used the facilities and was out in an hour.

The parking charge notice from this company wants £100 reduced to £60 if paid in a 14 days. That's ludicrous ....I'm a member of the gym.

Any advice....it seems that this met parking are BPA registered??

Complaining to the manager of the gym may help. At the same time appeal to the crooks.

    Dear Sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver is a member of the gym and has a badge entitling them to park. In any event your charges are penal in nature and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.

I am under no statutory obligation to name the driver and will not do so.

If you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

    Yours etc

If they supply a popla code please return and i'll sort out a popla appeal for you.
