  • vehicle control solutions parking charges

hi, i have received 6 parking tickets from these over the past 6 months i have lived in my block of flats, they have all been given to me whilst i have had a valid permit so i have egnored them, they have now passed the debt on to rossendales collect, will i be ok to just continue to ignore them or should i email them and ask for proof of me not having a valid parking permit, also a month or so of this time the automated shutter door was broken, giving the public acess to the car park so am i right in thining they cannot enforce their parking charges if the carpark has public access ?

    thanks joe

It might be ok to ignore them but you'll need to wait 6 years from the date to know for sure (statute of limitations).

I'd have appealed to get rid of it. They have now switched from the British parking association to Independent parking committee and a secondary appeal to them is very hard to win. (a ticket from when they were BPA is still relatively easy to win provided you can get a popla code which may prove difficult after all this time)

Having said that, it ultimately comes down to what it says in your lease. If it says you have a right to park and doesn't mention a permit has to be on display i'd write to them and tell them to feck off and any further contact will be seen as harassment.

In that case you could either ignore all bar a letter before claim or court papers themselves, or write back saying you're wrong the permit was on display which they may dispute although from what you say they can't have much evidence.
