Need some help as not sure what to do next, might be a long post but please bear with me!
on 30th October my mum took me shopping to a local Asda - the reason she took me was because I had just has 2 major facial surgeries so as well as needing to stock up on soup I was quite slow and we ended up overstaying our welcome in the Asda car park. I have the receipt for this shopping trip and shows us paying at 13.27.
Fast forward to 19/11 and my mum got a letter (dated 17/11) stating we were being charged as we left the car park. We wrote to Parking Eye explaining that 1) I had surgery and 2) their letter was outside the 14 day period in which they had to send the PCN.
We have heard nothing up until today when they have declined the appeal but given us a few more days to pay the £40. They state the 14 days to send the PCN is wrong and they have 35 days but they do give us a POPLA number (?) to use in an appeal but warn us that when we lose we will need to pay a bigger fine
Can anyone help with what we need to do next. i am still recovering from the surgery (had jaw broken in 4 places, twice!) and don't need this and my mum is panicking. Feel really bad to put her through this as it was my fault for being so slow on the day
Thank you
Tx
