Met parking fine

Hi. Sorry to tag along with this thread......not really sure what I am doing!
I got a parking charge notice through the post today from MET saying I owe them £100 for staying in a MacDonalds car park for 109 mins when 90 was the max. Is there anything I can do about this?

Appeal.

Dear sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver did not see the signs and was a patron of McDonalds. (see attached copy of receipt). In any event your charges are penal and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.

Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.
