• P4Parking parking charge notice

Hi

This is my first post so thanks in advance for your time and invaluable advice.

I've been issued with a Parking charge notice from P4Parking. The reason for the ticket is that I overstayed in a private car park - I paid £1 for 2hrs of parking, the ticket was issued after 2hrs 37minutes and I got back to the car 10 minutes after the ticket was issued. This occurred in the evening so the car park had a handful of cars in it when I arrived and was empty when I picked my car up. The notice requests That I pay £100 reduced to £60 if I pay within the next 14 days.

Please advise me on the best way to proceed.

Thanks again.

Hi Skillz and a very warm to LB.

Be a little patient, and don't worry, because mystery1 will enable you to sort this when he appears (it's sunday night..).

Mystery is away until Wednesday I read on one of his earlier posts, so he might not respond till later.
I'll dig out the standard response for you and post it up later if M. doesn't respond tonight.
But no worries, you've got plenty of time if you have just received your PCN

Any chance you can scan the ticket (name address and reg no removed) and/or have a picture of the signs ?

I think they are BPA members but want to be sure 1st.

Well the ticket confirms Popla is available so they are members of BPA.

Pictures of signs are still worth having if you are close by but no need to make a huge effort.

I'd wait until you get a notice to keeper which they can't send until 28 days after the parking event and must send before 56 days in order to chase the keeper.
