  • Hello All. I'm looking for advice on a Parking Charge Notice.

A quick google search of Civil Enforcement Ltd has brought me here as I see there have been many posts in relation to this company.
I have just received a £100 charge for parking after midnight, whilst at work outside a public house, which I didn't realise was a problem.
I was working at the train station situated opposite.
If I pay within 14 days the charge will be reduced to £60, but my main issue here is that I parked here for 3 nights so am now worried there will be 2 more fines in the post. Does anyone have any advice for me? Can I just pay 1 ticket as it almost 2 weeks ago when this occurred? If I had known from the first night parking there I would not have done so again.
    Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

    Dear Sirs,

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver did not see any signs. In any event your charges are penal and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.

I am under no statutory obligation to name the driver and will not do so.

Should you reject my appeal please supply a popla code.

    Yours etc

Then when rejected go via popla, edit http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...-Appeal-Letter to suit.

Thanks for the info, much apprecaited.
In your opinion do you think it best to wait for the other 2 notices to arrive this week before sending this in?

I just noticed that the incident date is on the 7/10 and issue date is the 20/10 which is the 14th day and I have received it on the 15th day is this still classed as valid in the time stipulated?

The answer would have been no had you got it tomorrow or not been around to evidence it came today as it would have been deemed, in law, to have been delivered tomorrow but it would only matter if chasing the keeper. However as you got it today it has arrived in time just as the 14 days start the day after the incident.

            Stick to the plan.

So I sent in my appeal and am waiting to hear back from them but I never received anymore PCNs for the other 2 consecutive days that I parked in the same spot which is strange but good news I guess
