Aldis parking fine? Attn Caspar from Wild Cam......

Through ignorance my beloved got a parking "fine" today from Aldis for £70 as she parked for two hours when the limit is they say 1 hour 30. Should we pay this or is it a bit of a scam?

I, as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver did not park and never left the vehicle. In any event your charges are penal and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.

I am under no statutory obligation to name the driver and will not be doing so.

Hi Poly Hive and welcome to Legal Beagles. I'm glad you found your way over here and hope you got my email.

As you can see, the letter above is fairly similar to the one I suggested you send - obviously the one above needs amending very slightly to suit your situation.

Once they turn this appeal down (which they will), you should be supplied with a POPLA code, and that is when we really work at getting the appeal overturned.
