  • Parking Eye Fine - Holiday Inn NEC

    Hi All,

Just received my first penalty notice from parking eye for £100. Whilst visiting a exhibition at the NEC I decided to visit a chain pub for a spot of dinner. The pub was situated next to the holiday Inn so I assumed the parking was also for customers visiting the pub.

I didn't see any signs on entry although having a looked on google earth there is a sign and barriers before entering the car park, the barriers were open so didn't see the sign. Due to been over the limit I decided to leave my car overnight and collect in the morning on the way to the NEC.

It is a company car so a little worried about not paying these people. Any ideas on how to proceed?

      Hi M1

The ticket is to my company as I am not the registered keeper of the vehicle.

It then depends on who the company is and how muh they'll do to help.

If it's easier to remove the company from the equation then they should supply them with your name and address. Then you'd appeal, which i expect they'd reject, then appeal to popla.

If the company is willing to do it just appeal then popla without naming the driver.

        Dear Sirs,

I ,as registered keeper, wish to invoke your appeals procedure. The driver did not see any signs and in any case your charges are penal and not a genuine pre estimate of loss.

I am under no statutory obligation to name the driver and will not do so.

If you do not accept this appeal please supply a popla code.

        Yours etc

http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...-Appeal-Letter is the basis for a popla appeal which should be edited to suit when the need arises.

        This does work http://www.legalbeagles.info/forums/...pany-victories

          Cheers M1

I think I would rather keep my company out of the equation and deal with this on an individual basis. I will get my company to send a letter stating my name and address so PE can contact me direct.
