Been issued with a PCN at a Cambridge retail centre, saying we were parked from 12.01pm to 14.56pm. We have proof in the way of receipts at the PO in a village some miles away at 15.45, and a blood test taken at the same village surgery at 3.30, corroborated by the doctor, that we were not in the retail park at that time. I have pointed this out to the Parking Fee collectors and sent photo copies. Do I need to do anything else? We are going to be out of the country for 3 weeks. We only have one car.

It was an Automatic Number Plate Recognition type of machine.

Should be fine. I'm not convinced they'll cancel but as long as you get a popla code upon your return you'll be fine with a decent appeal. Come back here to get one.
