my ex partner has informed other people that hahahaha I got a £135 parking ticket at his address in Bathgate under my name and car . my car is not registered at his address so how he got ticket! should a ticket of been put on my car by a traffic warden? how do I find out if I have a parking fine ? he also had my car that day as I went into job centre & he took my kids into b&m were ever that is! I don't live in Bathgate so I don't know what to do please help thanks

Okay. We need to find out exactly what has happened. Could you answer the following questions, please?

1. Was the parking ticket issued by a local authority or a private parking company?
2. Does your ex live in Bathgate and was he in Bathgate with your car on the relevant date?
3. Does the description of the vehicle on the parking ticket match that of your vehicle in every respect?

If parking eye do not know the driver then it's a bit of a risk to take anyone to court in a land where there is no keeper liability.

I'd ignore.

Do you have the ticket ? Is it to the registered keeper ?

I haven't seen or know about the parking ticket im asuimg that it was at Bathgate retail park on whitburn road, as he said it was at b&m private park & sign say park eye because I looked online at maps of street were b&m was! I went into job centre that day on 20 august 2013 as he parked in there & he does live in Bathgate ! I don't know whether this is a wind up or is real but I don't want to incur any more charges ! first I heard was him posting it all over facebook ! please help to how I find out

If they want money from you, they'll ask you and they'll keep on asking you. Until you get a charge notice then you have no issue.

I am registered keeper of car ! I don't know how he is getting my mail when my vehicle documents are at a York address! do i get a ticket on my car when its parked at parking eye? I am very confused ! they have cctv so would be able to see car registration! I haven't even got a ticket or seen one attached to my car at any point ! please help thanks

Well if the car is registered to you at your address then any vehicle related stuff will be sent to you. Sounds like pish to me.

problem ive got is he got other mail of charges of me going into a bus lane in York which I did twice but didn't get any notifications from them either but I went into city of York council traffic & I rang them & I do have 2 charges of a lesser amount ! which he told other people was £420 which is rubbish but I do owe £120 but im appealing as I didn't receive notices of those happening! & my car yet again is not registered to his address so how he getting my mail when he lives in Bathgate in Scotland! ive rang procuratour fiscal who have no record of any court proceedings under my name but it a ticket issued on 20 august 2013 ! so he must of received ticket from parking eye as well so how do I know if I have one from them as I got no ticket on my car at time & I have rang Bathgate council, police, dvla etc & they don't know & have no idea of who I can contact ! do I just leave it & wait to see If I receive anything else?

Was the vehicle ever registered at his address, any ticket is sent to the Registered Keeper at the address listed on the DVLA list on the date it occurred

no ! my car is registered at York address not Bathgate which is his address!! do you know if my mail would of been redirected to his address ? I thought anything legal like council or dvla would sent back to them to confirm I redirected my mail !

my v5 is registered at my old address in York & I was receiving mail from tenants who now live there ! they said they given none of my mail to anyone else except me ! so any mail for me I would of got which I have been getting but something amiss I agree cos my ex has apparently been receiving my mail but im not so sure ! I need to know if I should contact parking eye to see If there is a ticket on my car ? not sure whether to leave it see if they send anything else !

I have had no letters either at me old address or new address in York! im on with police about my post going missing but they got to prove he got it in first place & that be hard to prove but my notifications for York about bus lane penalty went to York address but didn't receive them! he must be incepting my mail or royal mail have messed up & didn't stop my redirection to Scotland & even if that's happened that proves he got them & has opened my mail & read it which is against the law ! I will find out in few days whats happened from royal mail ! he seen a solicitor apparently & they said im doin identilty theft & probably getting credit from his address ! think solicitor forgot to say he illegally opened & kept my mail since august 2013 & then 23 October 2013! what a joke ive been told to ignore ive been told to contact parkin eye im not sure what to do ?
