To cut a LONG story short stupidly ignored this fine thinking that that was the current advice. Turns out there have been changes. Any how the long and short of it is that they have now issued county court proceedings against me and I have 14 days to put forward my defence. I have no idea where to start, and wish I had just paid up initially. Is it too late to settle? If so is there any advice on defending my case? It was a short overstay in a free car park due to unforeseen circumstances. Any advice appreciated. Thanks you.

Re: Parking eye advice needed please
When it comes to somebody wanting money from you it's never to late to settle unless judgement has been granted.
Who does the car park belong to ?
There is a defence to the ticket as well which you can research http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?...2&#entry849882
What are the particulars of claim ?

Re: Parking eye advice needed please
The car park is a small retail park with 3 shops on so unsure who owns the car park land. I overstayed by about 10 minutes only. there were plenty of spare parking spaces so no revenue was lost and I had shopped in all 3 shops. Thhey say I broke the contract (clear signage around), by overstaying.
