      Re: parking eye

      my defence,
I dispute the claim by parkingeye for the extortionate cost of exceeding the parking time I paid for around 15 minutes.I had taken my mother out for the afternoon who is registered disables and does hold a disability parking permit(i put the number of the permit here) but there was no suitable parking areas at the time, so decided to pay and park at the given location. This is some time ago but I paid around £6 actual parking time but the machine did not register £1 coin but kept it, so I paid around £7. On return to the car my mother was struggling with her legs and we took longer than anticipated and arrived back after the parking ticket had expired, although at the time I was not aware of this, until a letter. came from Parkingeye with a fine.Even if I was aware of being late at the time of leaving the carpark, as far as I am aware there is no visible notice within the car park to explain how to pay the extra cost for overstay. I am prepared to pay for the additional cost of parking at the rates displayed per hour at the time,But not the exaggerated fine cost for a few minutes late.

To my mind you need to amend that defence significantly.

If you don't understand these issues you're going to need a good judge and they are thin on the ground although not extinct.
