19 Aug 2025 gp rang after an xray I need both hips replacing.
so started reading up on my choices.
    chose, wrightington.
    information online online said.
    parking.
    ' free with blue badge'
nothing what so ever about having to scan a badge, at that time, online, or in any information i was sent, pre consultation.
or in the tons of literature i was given since.

Talked to Sis in law who'd had a replacement mid 2025 about where parking was, where was best etc.
confirmed it was free for blue badge holders.

So I went on my own 26/02/2026 in my camper van.
there were booths, probably signs ?
In my head I just need to park with a badge, so I wasn't looking at signs (if there are any ?)
as I'm being careful in heavy traffic and just looking for the arrows to disabled.

I now have a fine as the cameras went live 01/10/2025
    i know ill have another
    as iv been again.

in my head the scanning and booths I saw (?) was for normal parking.
My fault for not seeing any notices on site.
They could have been 6ft in neon, but watching where I'm going and the heavy traffic. They wouldn't register

iv since registered my badge online.
all information now about b badge parking online Says to scan....sigh.....

have I any chance of appealing please.
    thank you

Of course you have a remote chance with appealing, but be warned Parking Companies aren't famous for accepting appeals as valid.
You have a better chance of winning if you fight a long battle all the way through to court!
I've had a look around and it seems NCP aren't the smartest of operators, so all to play for!

Could you please post up a copy of the Parking Charge Notice (it is not a fine but an invoice for some imagined breach of terms of a contract).
First remove all identifying details, but leave in all dates and times.

Any chance of a photo of the signs you failed to see?

      Thank you for your reply
'll post up charge notice as soon as I can.
can't show signs untill I go over again April 7th.
as I truly didn't see them, too busy watching the traffic, loads of people in the road too, wheel chairs walkers etc..
and looking for a space didn't register at all
      Thank you again.
      I'll have a think.
it'll be £90 for two fines

          Hahaha indeed
I used to like a good tussle, back in the day when I was on penalty charges website.
Been in court lots supporting the claimants.

im old now, with lots of senior moments
and do not know anything about parking fines .
I'd fight it, I think 'with help' please.

These are only my second fines i won tbe 1st hands down as they were in the wrong.
Been driving since 1980 I'm usually so careful.
          Thank you.
          paperwork attached

oh no file to big, I'm clueless how to resize. Sorry. Blast!!
          Have to read up.

"I got the letter Friday the 20th !!" have you any proof of that delivery date, or anyone who can confirm it?

Unfortunately I can't read your attachments (too blurry) so could you repost them using a hosting site and post a link here?

There are very limited costs if it goes to court and you should lose, but lets start with the PCN before we worry about that

Hosting sites: I always used IMGUR but have just found it is no longer available in the UK. You could try FLICKR (https://www.flickr.com/), which I hear is OK.

Regarding the post.. do you still have the envelopes?
Although delivered by your Royal Mail postie, NCP might not have posted it with Royal Mail on date of issue but may have given it to a courier company.
This may be an argument that the PCN was not delivered on time

Thank you I'll look at filckr
I found the envelope from the 2nd fine.
                      No post marks ?
1st went out with recycling I'm afraid.
My postie is lovely and may write a statement?

he was away 3 weeks his round was really bad.
My letter could have been anywhere as I had quite a few for other folk.

"I found the envelope from the 2nd fine" (it's not a fine) .. is this your second Parking Charge Notice?

Post a copy of that Notice as well as a copy of that envelope (first removing your name & address!)

If your postie is prepared to confirm he only delivered that letter on the 20th, that would be great. But he will need to be certain as he will have to sign a statement of truth about it.
