Hi,
I received last month a batch of 10 charge certificates from the Hackney council asking me to pay for parking infractions that happened during the previous six months.
It asked for 80 per infraction, and somehow due to it being more than 28 days ago, each became 160 pounds.
It was the first time I was notified of those infractions, and opted to just take the easy way out by just immediately paying those for a total sum of £1,600.
Now one month later I received the same charge certificates, with the same PCN numbers, this time advertised as 120 pounds a piece.
If I try to pay those online, it says they're already paid.
Am I fine to just ignore all these letters, or should I do something for the council to realise that I already paid and stop this? The only way to contact them about penalty disputes is apparently in writing through a PO box, which is more effort than I'm willing to do if it's not necessary.
