Yes, this really is as absurd as it sounds.
My other half took one of her friends to get an abortion. The procedure was delayed, then there were complications during the procedure which meant it took 2 hours 34 minutes. The maximum stay for the car park (private car park but attached to the NHS clinic) was 2 hours with no way to extend, according to the NHS website you have to let front desk know if you're there longer than 2 hours but obviously with the trauma involved that wasn't the first thing on her mind. She couldn't leave during this time because (a) they would not discharge her friend without there being someone to collect her, and (b) there was the possibility of her being needed in an emergency.
Obviously we've already put an appeal in and will to POPLA if that fails, but if it goes further than that how can I make it as difficult and painful for Parkingeye as possible?
