  • Misleading parking sign ?

Hi All ! Please help ! I received a ticket from Slough Borough Council for parking here, image of sign is attached. I had to go back and read the sign as I couldn't believe I had parked in a non authorised space in the first place. It was 8.15pm on a Saturday evening so it was dark and it's not the safest area in town. It's in a parking bay outside the Royal Mail office. The rest of the road is a mix of single and double yellows. I was in a rush I suppose (always am) to pick up a take out from around the corner, clocked the first bit of the sign and then skimmed the rest thinking it was instructions for residents not realising it was prohibiting anyone else from parking outside those times - is it just me or is it misleading ? Happy to take this one on the chin but if there are any smart recourses you think may work please help as I've just done a quick google and this is the worst offending street in Slough generating just under a £Million in fines a year and I feel like the Council should do one ! It's £70 and no early payment discount :-( I didn't get a yellow sticker on the screen, a letter came in the post with a photo of the car about 6 weeks post event. Thank you for your time !

** Can't seem to attach an image of the sign - the error message says 'not authorised to create or remove attachments' - not doing well today !
