  • paid to park on a Sunday when free

    We went to Treacle market on Sunday in macclesfield, parking was in 1 of the carparks, however after paying it say we noticed it said free parking. It was small but big enough to see sadly, also if paying for parking on a Sunday when free..should it reject payment. To me thats taking advantage

    To me that's not reading the signs. Live and learn.

    Ask if they will give you credit for next time.

              I believe what the person was asking in the original question is, should the payment machine have refused to take his money (by either declining a card transaction or automatically shutting the money payment slot for that day) I am sure with todays technology it is possible, but with the financial problems we have. everyone will try to make a "quick Buck" even councils

                They informed us....basically tough luck, should have read the board. However yes asked for credit for next ti.w they said nope. Sadly on this occasion its not worth the battle.
