  • Civil Enforcement Charge PCN for overstaying at carpark

    Hi,

I received a PCN a few days ago and was hoping for some advice on appealing.
It was a 2 hr car park and I stayed over by 22 minutes.
They've offered a reduced rate of £60 if I pay within 14 days.

The reason for returning late was because my partner is disabled and was having a meltdown in one of the shops.
I couldn't leave her to go back to the car because I'm her carer and she needed my support.

I could provide disability letters and letters showing I'm her legal carer.
Would I have any grounds for appeal based on this info?
I'm worried about appealing because the letter said I'll lose the reduced rate.

    Thanks for any advice.

You can appeal using the disability legislation. You were delayed because of matters out of your control concerning a disabled person who you have responsibility for.

Not good and they will probably refuse.

Thanks OSTELL. I didn't think I would have much joy. I might give it a go. Is there a letter template I can use?
