  • Parking charge notice

I received a parking charge notice for a multi-storey car park. It’s is from April, but I only recently got the letter as it was in my other half’s name and not to my address (he’s in the army hence the delay).

I have managed to change it to my name and address. But I know for a fact on the Sunday in question that the payment machines were not working. But I don’t have photo evidence of this. I have tried to appeal this, but waiting for a response.

    Any advice?

G24. I’ve received a response now saying they have rejected it as the kiosks were working. They absolutely weren’t! It’s only £1 to park on a Sunday. I would have paid that. I park there on a regular basis, they break very often.

I told them that on the day in question the machines were not working and it said “free parking” as it did. But as I have no photo evidence, will I have to pay the £60?
