Smart parking- Paid ticket late

Hi there I would greatly appreciate any support with my question.

I parked in a "Smart parking" car park this morning. I was under the impression you pay AFTER return to your vehicle as it uses anpr cameras. Unfortunately you are supposed to pay on entry.

I parked for an hour. I went to the machine to pay and realised my error. I bought a ticket to cover 1.5 hrs which was more than enough to cover my time and then left immediately.

Do I have any reason to worry about getting a ticket for this?

Yes, any excuse to extract more money.

Edit your post so that the identity of the driver cannot be inferred. The driver parked etc....

When you get the PCN post it up together with photos of the signs. Smart frequently get the process wrong so don't be despondent.

Every time I see SMART my Blood pressure goes up, they should be banned, say no more. Off to lie down.
