  • NIP questions

A NIP has been received by an employer and has to respond by the 18th February 2022, the alleged offence is 50mph in a 30mph area.

The driver who will be nominated has 6 points that expire on the 24th and 25th April 2022 so this is terrible timing, from what I can see this alleged offence carries a maximum of 6 penalty points.

If the company responds on the 18th February how long would you reasonably expect the police to issue something to the alleged driver?
Does the nature of the offence mean a court appearance regardless of their current licence points?
The alleged driver used grounds in January 2022 so they didn't lose their licence - losing job, home etc so they cant use the same excuses again.

    Has anyone had similar experiences?
