  • Debt recovery letter

    Hi
I have just received a debt recovery letter from Smart parking having contacted the agency was advised in relation to parking in September 2020
This is the first letter I received. I no longer own the car. I had sat for 23 minutes trying to download app to park then moved off as couldn't get it to work. Second charge apparently for same spot that I actually purchased a ticket for I have a colleague who can confirm purchase who was in car with me.
I have been told I owe 340 pounds can anyone offer advice

so you write to DRP telling them that this is the first notification of this alleged debt that you have received, which you deny and therefore require that they pass it back to their principal and not disturb you again.

This is NI, POFA does not apply so they have to go after the unknown driver. You are under no obligation to identify the driver
