  • Cancelled PCN taken to court

Hi, I wasn't sure which heading to post this on as it falls under two sections; My son had a work meeting over lunch in a Mc Donalds where he was a legitimate customer. The meeting lasted just over two hours which ran about 5 mins over the two hour parking time. He received a parking fine for this, he appealed this with the Parking company and with MC Donalds, who advised that they would inform the parking company and ask for it to be cancelled as he had proof that he was using the venue as it should have been. I have this in writing from the staff member. This was passed to the parking company, who after numerous emails refused to cancel the fine, even though he was a genuine paying customer to MC Donalds. Unknown to him the parking company took this to court and he now has a CCJ. How can we get this resolved or removed? How can we get this resolved or removed as it is affecting his employment and his credit file.

If your son didnt defend the claim which was issued then the CCJ will have been correctly entered. It may be possible to set aside the Judgment but i think we need to know why he didnt know about the Claim form? has he moved recently?
