Hi all, A PCN was issued on my son's car over 2 years ago now, I own the parking space on the private land where he parked, albeit without the parking permit displayed in his windscreen. I had emailed the PPC explaining the situation in the hope they would waive the PCN, but instead they are taking ME to civil court to get their payment, surely this is not right?

No it's not. What have you actually received, Letter Before Claim or claim form from Northampton?
Have they given any particular reason why they are chasing you?
Demand to see a copy of contract with the landholder that permits them to issue charges on that land. Could be interesting if you are that landholder. There is no reason to display a permit.

Hi OSTELL,
Thanks for the reply, it appears the PPC have not applied to DVLA for details of the RK, who happens to be my son (he lives at a different address). I did email an appeal to the PPC, but at no time did I admit to being the driver at that time, in fact my son does not allow anyone to drive his car..
I have decided to go to court with no option of mediation. The PPC also passed my name/address to two debt collection agencies who have written to me demanding payment are they allowed to do this under data protection?
Cheers,
Plug
