On 19th December, I received a Parking Charge Notice in the post, for the reason “Parked without clearly displaying a valid PCM UK Ltd permit (at time of enforcement)”. A notice wasn’t placed on the windscreen at the time.
I plan to challenge this on the basis that the sign was too high and unlit, making it unreadable at that time of day.
I’ve also found a couple of threads on here and elsewhere that suggest that the charge was invalid because no contract was made, as the sign indicated the parking was for permit holders only.
I’d like to use this argument as well. I just want to check to see if it applies in this case, as the sign is worded slightly differently (see pic below).
