  • Stoke-on-Trent Charged for bus lane but police blocked the road?

    HI All,

Hoping this is a simple one, i was driving in stoke near the city centre. I don't know the area that well but the closer you get to stokes city the more it becomes a one way system. The police has blocked the road due to an accident in the road with a motorcyclist and the police instructed me to head down this one way road and take a left. This direction that was given left me to a bus lane which is what i am being charged for.

I will call the 101 service to obtain a police record of this to cover me but is there anything i can do to take this further or how would i respond to this many thanks.
